Every small business needs help with digital marketing and getting customers online … but where do you start? Well, I created Momentum as a way to bridge the gap for business owners to learn and grow with us by offering various digital marketing services to get them more customers from the internet.
Momentum Digital really started as a way to use my online skills to make money for other business owners from what I was able to do for my own startups and small business. Initially our core skillset was Google Ads, but that stemmed into help other businesses with all types of online marketing; from web design, to SEO, to social media —- we do it all.

For the past few years Momentum Digital has been interviewing and featuring small local businesses in Philadelphia with a Free Marketing Series called Small Business Saturday. This is our way of not only branding ourselves and showing our expertise, but it’s a way to learn about small businesses while giving back to the community.
So far we have interviewed and promoted over 100 small businesses in Philly, ranging from animal rescue center to a historic landmark nonprofit. This series takes a lot of time and effort from our team, so in 2018 we started offering podcasts, paid promotional campaigns, and then decreased how often we offered these videos!

How did I start Momentum Digital?
I got fired from Google in 2015 from starting an agency on the side. This forced me to go all in on starting my own business, Momentum Digital. Luckily I had a few clients I met working at Google, but my first break was signing a financial consultant nearby in Ann Arbor. I pitched $5000 to redo his website and SEO. I really didn’t know much but that forced me to learn about SEO, Local SEO, Digital Marketing, Web Design and more. This is really where I got my start with full service marketing and SEO. I forced myself into the situation where I had to sink or swim. I learned everything I could during a crash course while getting paid in the process.
I ending up partnering with my friend Michael from Penn State. Who knew how to design websites and apps so I started referring him business, but then we partnered and went in on the agency together. What helped was having contacts from my time at Google as well as building my network on Linkedin and Social Media. Now most of our customers come to us from Word of Mouth or SEO.

Momentum serves all types of small businesses: from 1 person accounting solopreneurs, to 500+ employee companies. Small businesses are basically any company with 1-500 employees or doing $50,000 to $50 Million in annual revenue. There are many ways to define a small business, and they tend to range much bigger than you’d expect. We typically shy away working from large corporate, government or Fortune 500 companies. Our goal is to help as many small businesses as possible with their digital marketing, specifically helping them rank higher on Google.
